CHAPTER I





Knock, knock! Aurora tapped on the door of the master bedroom as she crept in. “Yeah,” Shamrock greeted her as he saw her step into the room. She gave a little smile as if he already new what she wanted. He walked out into the balcony, “Come.” She walked over towards him as she grabbed his hand and exited the room.
He looked at her from the corner of his eye, “So do you want to talk about something?” She bit her lip as she leaned in closer to him,” Not really.” He smiled down at her and then stared off into the distance. She wrapped her arms around his waist as she breathed in his musky fragrance. “Why aren’t we married yet, Aurora?” he asked her as he broke the silence. She blushed as she held his arm tighter, “I don’t know.” He turned and faced her,” Do you even want to?” Aurora looked up at him and smiled,” Of course.” He smiled as he rubbed her cheek and around her head as he pulled her closer to him. He kissed her gently on the lips as she wrapped her arms around his neck. Their kiss was broken as a knock came to the bedroom door.
Aurora walked back into the room as Shamrock stood out on the balcony. She opened the door, “Hi.” Chicago walked into the bedroom as the door opened,” Is Sham in here?” Aurora walked over and sat down on the bed,” on the balcony.”
He began to walk over to the balcony until he paused in front of her. Aurora looked up at him,” is something wrong?” He sat down beside of her, “I want to talk to you actually.” “Okay,” she smiled. He took a deep breath,” I need some help with Arizona.” Aurora giggled, “Sure. What is it about?” He grinned as he grabbed her hand and held it in his,” She needs to go shopping.”
Aurora leaned closer to him,” You’re lying.” “How do you know?” he smiled. She pulled her hand away from his,” I know you well, Chi.” He turned away from her as he looked towards the ground. “Is there something else, Chi-baby?” she asked him as she laid her hand on his shoulder. Chicago stood up and walked towards the door. She followed him over to the door, “Chi?”
He turned around and smiled as he stepped outside of the room. “Are you going to tell me?” she asked as she stepped out with him. He stepped up to her as he leaned over and kissed her lips softly. “What was that for?” she whispered as their lips parted. “I think that you already know,” he smiled as he walked away. She stood in the doorway as she watched him disappear down the hall.
Aurora walked back into the room and closed the door behind of her. Shamrock came out from the balcony,” Who was that?” She sat down on the bed,” Chicago.” “What did he want?” he asked a she pulled his shirt off and sat down on the bed. “Nothing at all. He just wanted to say goodnight,” she smiled at him as he climbed into the bed. He climbed into the bed and scooted up beside of her,” I love you.” Aurora turned to him and smiled,” I love you, too.”

Chapter II


The next day, Amaishah walked into the house,” Is anybody home?” Nobody answered so she walked over into the kitchen. Chicago walked into the kitchen from the patio entrance,” What are you doing here?” Amaishah ran over to him hugged him,” I, honey! I came to see you!” He pushed her back a little,” Okay.” She blushed as she let him go,” I love you silly.” He flashed her a mile ash he walked past her. She looked at him confused,” Chicago?”
He walked over to the table and sat down. She walked over and sat beside of him,” Is everything okay?” “Yeah,” he answered as he looked away from her. Aurora walked into the house,” Is anyone home?” Chicago quickly ran into the livingroom,”Yeah.” “Hi Chi. Can you carry these bags for me?” Aurora asked him as he walked over to her. “Sure,” he smiled as helped her carry the bags into the kitchen.
They walked into the kitchen and set the bags on the counter. “What are you two doing here so early?” Aurora asked as she started unpacking the bags. Amaishah stood up, ”I came to see Chicago. He has been over here almost everyday.” “Really?” Aurora responded. “Yeah,” she sighed. “I was helping Shamrock with a project,” Chicago told her. “Oh, okay,” Aurora smiled as she walked back into the living room as she finished unpacking. Chicago and Amaishah followed her into the room.
“So are you two gonna stay for dinner?” Aurora asked as she sat down on the couch. Chicago sat down beside of her,”Yeah.” Amaishah walked past them towards the front door,” Sorry but I won’t be able to make dinner.” Aurora looked at her sadden by her decision,” Okay. Call me.” Amaishah smiled,” Yeah.” Amaishah left the house as they sat and watched television.
Aurora turned to him,” What’s going on between you two?” He smiled as he scratched his head,” Nothing.” “You can tell me,” she smiled as she touched his hand. “I don’t want to talk about her right now. Let’s talk about you,” he told her. “But she is your wife silly,” Aurora giggled. Such a beautiful smile he thought o himself. “So when are you two going to have baby number two?” she smiled as she scooted closer to him. “Never,” he mumbled under his breath. “Hmm?” she asked as for she didn’t hear him. “Nothing. I don’t want anymore kids anytime soon, that’s all,” he frowned as he looked away from her.









Amaishah came back into the house a half an hour later. “What are you back so soon?” Aurora asked her. “Can you keep Arizona for me for awhile?” Amaishah asked Chicago as she handed her to him. “Sure. Where are you going?” he asked her as he sat Arizona down on the couch. “To my mom’s. I’ll be back later to get her,” Amaishah kissed Arizona good–bye and left the house.
“Hi, Ari. How old are you?” Aurora asked her as she picked her up and walked into the kitchen. Chicago followed her into the kitchen. Aurora sat her down on the counter as she gave her some cookies. “You know she should’ve been our daughter?” Chicago said as he poured himself a glass of water. Aurora blushed,” Don’t talk like that. Amaishah is your fiancé.” Chicago put the empty glass into the sink, “That may be but I still want you.”
Chicago pulled Aurora over to the side of the room as he kissed her passionately. Pinning her up against the wall as his hands touch everywhere that they could. She wanted to push him away, but her body was clanged to him. “I want you so bad,” he whispered to her in-between kisses. “I can’t,” she whispered back to him as she slowly pushed him away from her. He stared at her for a moment as she looked back at him. “I’m sorry,” he told her as he left the room. “Chicago?” she yelled after him. She thought she had hurt his feelings for she surely didn’t want that.
Later that day after dinner, Amaishah had come to get Arizona. “Ready to go?” Amaishah asked Arizona as she put her coat on her. Arizona nodded as she picked her up. “Thanks for letting her stay. It took a little longer than I expected,” Amaishah told Aurora as she headed for the door. “No problem. You can bring her by any time,” Aurora smiled at her as she closed the door behind them.
Aurora walked into the kitchen and cut the light on. She gasped as she saw Shamrock sitting at the table. “Why are you in here in the dark?” she asked as she walked over to him. “Were you going to tell me about that little incident between you and Chicago?” he asked. She bit her lip as she sat down on the chair next to him. “Well?” he asked. “It was nothing,” she blurted out. “Nothing?... Aurora…“ he sighed. “I’m sorry, but it didn’t mean anything. It was just…” she was cut off by him. “He used to want to be with you and you say that his kiss meant nothing?” Shamrock asked her as he stood up. She quickly stood up beside of him,” Exactly. I don’t want to be with him, Sham.” Shamrock look at her for a moment,” It won’t happen again?” She smiled up at him, ”No.” “I guess that I would let it go, but don’t be alone with him anymore, okay?” he smiled down at her. “Okay,” she smiled back.
Aurora went upstairs and started the shower. “How could I have been so stupid? I should’ve stopped him. Stupid me. I know Shamrock really isn’t going to forgive me for that,” Aurora talked to herself. She unzipped her dress and let it fall to the floor. Stupid.








Shamrock knocked on Chicago’s door and Amaishah answered the door. “Hi, Shamrock. Can I help you with something?” “Where’s Chicago?” Shamrock asked. “He’s in the kitchen, hold on a moment,” Amaishah closed the door. Shamrock walked over and sat down on the porch swing.
Chicago walked out onto the porch as he closed the door behind him. “Can I talk to you for a minute?” Shamrock asked. “Sure,” he responded as he walked over and sat down beside of him. “What’s really going on between you and Aurora?” Shamrock asked him. Chicago swallowed hard,” Nothing.” “And that kiss?” Shamrock asked. “Didn’t mean anything,” Chicago told him as he stood up. “Just to be sure. I don’t want you to come over when I am not there,” Shamrock told him as he stood up. “Sure thing man,” Chicago agreed. “See ya later,” Shamrock said as he walked down the stairs off of the porch. “Hey! I’m sorry Sham!” Chicago yelled after him. “Yeah,” Shamrock sighed as he got into his car and drove off.
Aurora sat on the couch as Shamrock came into the house. “Where have you been?” Aurora asked him as she stood up. “Chicago’s house,” he answered as he put his coat on the rack.
He went over and sat down on the couch. Aurora sat down beside of him,” Are you alright?” “I’m fine, “ he told her as he laid back on the couch. “You didn’t get into a fight did you?” she pouted. “Of course not,” he sighed. “Do you really forgive me?” she asked as she held his hand in hers. “I said I did didn’t I?” he told her. “Do you really?” she asked again. “Yes, Aurora. I love you,” he smiled at her as he sat up.
“There is something that I have been meaning to ask you,” he told her as he reached into his pocket. “What is it?” she asked. He pulled out a small burgundy box and handed it to her,” Will you marry me?” She gasped as she almost fainted in disbelief,” Marry you?” “Of course,” he smiled as he took the ring from the box and put it on her finger. “It’s beautiful,” she smiled as she studied the details of the ring. “Will you?” he asked her. “Yes,” she smiled at him as she covered him in kisses.
“So you two are finally getting married?” Sky said as he came into the living room. “Yeah,” Shamrock smiled at Aurora. “Bout time,” he laughed. “Yeah,” Aurora whispered as she suddenly thought about Chicago.
















Chapter
Aurora stood up a few hours as she paced around the kitchen. “What are you doing?” Sky asked as he walked into the kitchen. “Nothing. Just thinking,” she responded as she leaned up against the counter. “Don’t creep around at night. You might get kidnapped,” Sky warned her. “Yeah,” she giggled.
He walked over to her, “ Are you gonna be okay?” She looked up at him as she reached out to him, ”Hold me?” He wrapped his arms around her shoulders as he held her gently. “What am I going to do?” she whispered to him. “What is it that’s bothering you?” he asked her. She gripped him tight, ”Just hold me.” He smiled as he held her tighter.
“You are always so sweet to me,” she blushed. “Yeah. You’re a very deserving person,” he told her as he released his hold. “Why did you let go?” she pouted. “Cause you have to go to bed,” he laughed. “But I don’t feel like sleeping right now,” she pouted as she walked into the living room. He followed her into the living room as he sat down on the couch beside of her.
“Are you going to stay up with me for awhile?” she asked him as she lay down on his lap. “I guess,” he told her. “Would you try to kiss me if you saw a chance to?” she giggled up at him. He smiled down at her, ”Honestly. Yeah.” She sat up, ”Really?” “Yeah,” he smiled. “Then kiss me?” she told him. “Are you sure?” he looked at her confused. “No,” she smiled at him. He stared at her as he pushed her back her on the couch.
He crawled overtop of her as he looked down in her face, “Don’t play with me.” “I’m not,” she smiled up at him, ” You’re too sweet.” “Just kiss me,” he told her as he leaned down and kissed her softly. His lips tasted so soft and sweet as she sucked his tongue into her mouth.
Sky has always loved Aurora even before she and Shamrock were dating. He just never got a chance to tell her, because of her close relationship with Chicago.
“Wait a second, Sky,” she told him as she broke their kiss. “What is it?” he asked as he sat up. She sat up, “I…we can’t be doing this.” “You’re right,” he said as he stood up. “Wait!” she grabbed his hand, “Can you still stay here with me for awhile?” He sat back down, ”You sure?” “Of course,” she laughed.
He lay back on the couch as she lay on top of him. “You’re such a good friend,” she whispered to him. He smiled down at her as he ran his fingers through her long brown hair.
